Dennis Ray Scheffe

Celebration of Life service for Dennis Scheffe, 79 of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019, at Emmanuel Baptist Enid with the Rev. Kevin Choate officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Dennis was born August 28, 1939, southeast of Lahoma, OK to Gus and Esther (Bierig) Scheffe, and passed away Thursday, May 17, 2019, in Enid.

He graduated from Maramec High School and went to work for Pettus Construction where he layed brick and built storm shelters. He acquired Rainey Brothers which became Scheffe Painting and Wallpaper. Dennis married Patricia Case on July 29, 1960, in Enid where they made their home.

He was a member of the Pioneer Lions Club, and Habitat for Humanity. He was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Enid where he was a door greeter. Dennis loved to fish and hunt.

In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by his son; Troy Scheffe and his fiancé Shannon Dalrymple and daughter Parker, and a daughter; Shelly Scheffe, all of Enid, two grandchildren; Janet Stark and husband Brian, and Wayne Scheffe, three great-grandchildren; Parker, Tyler, and Avery Stark, four sisters; Betty Estes, Norma Hart, Linda Theilen and friend Bob Falls, and Willa Rice and husband Ron. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF- Heart or Alzheimer’s Division or to Emmanuel Enid.
