Della Mondick (Dubbs)

January 13, 1937 - April 23rd, 2021

A Celebration of Life for Della Ann (Dubbs) Mondick is 2:00 pm Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Voight officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, April 30th at the funeral home.

Della Ann Dubbs was born January 13, 1937 to Carl and Minnie Dubbs in Byron, Oklahoma. She grew up on a farm near Cherokee, Oklahoma along with her two brothers and sister. She attended Prairie Valley School and graduated from Lambert High School in 1954. She was involved in school plays and played basketball. She was Basketball Queen her senior year. After graduation she moved to Enid, Oklahoma and attended Beeches Beauty College, which began an almost 60-year career as a hairdresser. In August of 1956, she married Marlin Mondick and together they had three daughters. She was a member of Willow Road Christian Church. She served and loved people with her whole being. She loved her family deeply, selflessly, and gave the best hugs.

She is survived by her three daughters; Marla (Joe) Voight of Clarksville, TN; Cheryl (Martin) Scott of Raymore, MO; Debra (Ken) Piotrowski of Smithville, MO; five grandchildren; Dustin, Jennifer, Kristen, Brad, and Amanda; and ten great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marlin, parents Carl and Minnie Dubbs, brothers David and Dean Dubbs, and sister Delores Martin.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Della’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
