Funeral service celebrating David “Mike” Minter, 82, of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 21st, 2025, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Bruyn officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation with family will be Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mike was born October 11th, 1942, in Enid, to Eugene and Marjolee (Hill) Minter, and passed away Sunday February 16th, at his home in Elmore City.
Mike grew up and attended Enid Public School. On June 18th, 1966, he married Lonnie Lynch in Enid, where they made their home. He Joined The Army the 3rd of February 1961. He worked as a Clerk for the United States post office until he Retired in 1997. He had many hobbies which included hunting, fishing, canoeing and carpentry, and was an avid gun collector. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mike was a member of Graceway Baptist Church, and The Anvil Church of Elmore City.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marjolee Minter (Hill), his father Eugene Minter, and his wife Lonnie Minter (Lynch)
Mike is survived by his 2 sons Daniel Minter (Tammy) of Fruita, Colorado and Matthew Minter (Melissa) of Enid; 7 Grandchildren Daytona, Elisha, Austin, Makenna, Jacob, Zach, and Roman; and 6 great-grandchildren Jerhemiah, Luciana, Charlie, Camden, Liam, Aria.
