Funeral services for Dale Fore, 57 of Enid, will be Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10:00 am in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Goins officiating. Private family burial will follow in High Point Cemetery, Buffalo, Oklahoma. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Dale was born on May 9, 1962 in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Roy and Betty Fore and died on September 1, 2019 in Enid.

Dale grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. He worked for many years in the oilfield and has worked at Metal USA for the past fourteen years. Dale attended Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Fore of Enid; his parents, Betty Icke and Roy and Cheryl Fore all of Enid; brothers, William (Traci) Icke of Edmond and Shawn Fore of Enid; sisters, Nicole Zirkel of Purcell, OK, Tammy Fore of Enid, Shannon Fore of Lexington; other relatives and friends.

Dale was from the Enid High class of 1980. He played trumpet in the band. He was quiet and unassuming. We became friends because of his warped sense of humor and his weird laugh. He always told me he wasn’t boyfriend material because he was so short. He didn’t have very many friends when I knew him because he said he preferred not to hassle with their neediness.
I shared a house with him in Tonkawa for awhile in college. He worked in Ponca City and held down the fort while I ventured off to California for awhile. We eventually lost touch, as we went our separate ways with our jobs and such.
I was sad to hear of his passing. I always wondered where he was, hated to have to read about it in an obituary.
