A graveside service for Cleatus Winter, 84, of Okeene, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday. April 18, 2026, at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma. Visitation will be on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 6-7 PM at Anderson-Burris Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Cleatus was born on August 20, 1941, to Carl and Berneice (Weinmeister) Winter and passed away on April 14, 2026.
He married Peggy Weathers on February 22, 1963, in Drummond, Oklahoma and together they had one son, Jerry Lee Winter. Cleatus graduated from Drummond High School in 1959 and worked for Allen Oil Company until 1968 in Drummond, Oklahoma. He then worked as a parts manager for Vater Implement for 45 years until he retired.
Cleatus is survived by his wife, Peggy Winter of Enid, Oklahoma; son Jerry Lee Winter and wife Trudy of Ada, Oklahoma; brothers Donnie Winter and wife Carolyn of Enid, OK and Larry Winter of Okeene, OK; two grandchildren, Lacy Morrison and husband Justin and Abby Winter and fiancé Dylan Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Berneice Winter; his sister Janice Lubbers and husband Myron; and his sister-in-law, Delores Winter.
