Charles W. Arndt

January 1, 1945 - August 25, 2020

Celebration of Life Service for Charles Arndt, 75 of Hennessey, will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 3:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at a later time in Garber Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charles was born on January 1, 1945 in Mason City, Iowa to Howard and Helen Stoltenberg Arndt and died on August 25, 2020 in Enid.

He grew up in Mason City and worked at a zoo for a time. Charles enlisted in the US Navy in 1965, serving in Vietnam. Following his discharge, he met Kay Graves and they married on May 28, 1974. They made their home in Garber, then Enid and later in Hennessey. Charles was a painter and sandblaster, working in many states. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking in his shop and making bird houses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; and brother Donald.

Charles is survived by his children, Tammy (Tim) Fagan, Bill (Amy) Arndt, Ben (Carey) Arndt, Lisa Arndt, and Charles Arndt, Jr; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Arndt; other relatives and many friends.
