CBR Brings Newly Crowned World Champion to Enid

ENID, OK -  The undisputed number one bull rider in the world, Sage Steele Kimzey, earned his third consecutive Professional Rodeo Cowboy Associations (PRCA) world title on December 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he is coming to Enid in January.  In a rare appearance on the Oklahoma Plains, be one of the first to see Kimzey continue his quest to become the best bull rider in history on January 7 at the inaugural CBR Battle on the Plains at the Central National Bank Center.

Kimzey, the reigning CBR World Champion bull rider, rode six of his ten bulls Wrangler National Finals Rodeo to finish his year $23,647.98 ahead of Sulphur, Oklahoma native Brennon Eldred who finished second in the Super Bowl of rodeo’s average winning a total on the season of $287, 803.29.

So stuff your bull riding fans’ Christmas stockings with tickets and plan now to be at the inaugural Battle on the Great Plains Bull Riding to cheer on these Oklahoma natives and highly decorated champions which includes multiple National Finals Rodeo qualifiers where Cody Rostockyj, Jeff Askey, and Tim Bingham are also expected to compete.

Four time World Champion and CBR Chute boss Tuff Hedeman has been producing top rated events for over 30 years and ticket holders can look forward to a great night as CBR has recruited some of the industry’s leading entertainment and personnel for the televised tour’s first stop in 2017.

The funny man in and outside the barrel will be the 2010 NFR Barrel man Robbie Hodges and stepping in at every turn and keeping the bull riders out of harm’s way will the Get Famous Energy bullfighters Matt Baldwin, Brandon Loden, and Oklahoma State University student Schell Apple.

Tickets on sale now for the inaugural CBR Battle on the Great Plains hosted at the Central National Bank Center where Kimzey continues to defend his number one ranking in both the CBR and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

The Battle on the Great Plains, a premier event on the CBR’s Road to Cheyenne tour, features a field of 24 elite bull riders in a three round tournament style event ending in a final four Shoot Out round worth $30,000.
Riders will be making appearances around town signing autographs and hosting meet and greets at local establishments.
