The Mass for the Christian burial for Catherine "Katy" Willoughby, an 80-year-old Enid resident will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Mason will officiate. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Catherine was born on June 25, 1944, to Joe and Norma Vater in Enid and passed on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in the Commons.
She attended Catholic school and graduated from Memorial High School in 1962. She then attended Enid Business College. Catherine worked at Vance Air Force Base for Serv-Air & Northrop Grumman until the last day in January 2001. She married Stan Willoughby on June 8, 1985. She had the lights of her life, Melanie in 1965 and Sondra in 1969.
Katy is predeceased by her parents Joe & Norma Vater, her brothers William and Mike Vater, her nephews Norman & Kyle Traynor, and her in-laws Charlie & Marvelene Willoughby.
She is survived by her husband Stan of the home, daughters Melanie Mayhall and husband Jim, Sondra Diel and husband Mike, granddaughters Kayla Diel-Young and husband Lane and Kassidy Diel, great grandson Grant Young and very soon Grady Young. Sister Jody and George Traynor. Sisters in law Tenny & Chuck Holcombe, Gwen Willoughby and Charlene & Eddie Auprey. Numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to either Our Daily Bread or Loaves and Fishes.
