Celebration of Life Service for Carrie Lee Lanier, 72 of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ethan Stoking officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Carrie was born June 17, 1949 in San Diego, CA to Howard and Donnice (Richey) Thomas and passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2021 in Enid.
Carrie loved her family very much and was always someone they could depend on. She was a two-time cancer survivor. She was also a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2270.
She married the love of her life, Phil S. Lanier on December 6, 1963. This 57 year union brought their son Phil S. Lanier II, daughter Kimberly A. Kerns and daughter JoAnn M. Luttrell. In addition, they have 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Carrie is also survived by a brother Alfred Thomas, step-brother Terry Costello, half-sister Robin Stricklen, half-sister Cherly Piera. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father Harold Costello, half-sister Billie Shahann, half-brother Harold Costello, Jr., step-brothers Bobby and Billy Anderson, step-sister Beverly Anderson (Freeman), step-mothers Edna Costello and Kay Thomas.
