The graveside service for Carl D. Freelove, 91 year-old Enid resident, will be 11:00am Monday, June 1, 2020 in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Brother Les Washknock will officiate. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Carl was born December 11, 1928 in Estella, Oklahoma to Elmer and Ruby (Ratcliff) Freelove and died May 27, 2020 at Garland Road Nursing Home. He attended Claremore schools, graduating with the Class of 1946.

On January 21, 1950, he married Leola Steiger. The couple made their home in Enid in a house that Carl built with the help of Leola. He worked for many years at Union Equity and eventually, retired from there.

Carl was quite the jokester. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, gardening and yardwork; but, above all, he loved and cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leola; son, Gary; granddaughter, Brandie; three great-grandsons; an infant sister and two brothers.

Carl is survived by daughter, Gayle Freelove of Enid; grandchildren, James Freelove; Chris Freelove; Bryon Freelove; Patrick Freelove; Joseph Freelove and Carlena Otwell; sixteen great-grandchildren and one more on the way; four sisters and one aunt.

Memorials in Carl's name can be given through the funeral home to Valir Hospice.
