LOVE'S TRAVEL STOP

Construction is moving along for the new Love's Travel Stop at 42nd and 412. We've heard there will be a truck stop, hotel and fast food restaurant included in the project.

CANDLEWOOD SUITES HOTEL

Ground has been broken on the east side of Enid for a new hotel. Candlewood Suites is building a new hotel at 13th and Garriott.

HEADQUARTERS RELOCATING

The parent company of locally operated Roberts Ranch, Hanor Companies, is relocating its headquarters from Wisconsin to Enid over the next three years. The headquarters will be located on 412 near 42nd St.

KOCH EXPANSION

Koch Nitrogen Plant's $1.3 billion expansion is underway with over 400 temporary construction workers in the area.

DOWNTOWN HOTEL

The Enid City Council voted to contract with Peachtree Hotel Group on the community’s downtown hotel project. Peachtree Hotel Group invests, operates, finances, and develops premium-branded, select and limited-service and extended-stay hotel assets under the Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt, Choice and InterContinental Hotels Group flags. They will be building a Hilton Garden Inn located next to the Enid Event Center.

OUR FAMILY PET SHOP CLOSING

Our Family Pet Shop will be closing their shop in Enid and over the next couple weeks and they will be offering 50% off all products . Huge discounts on enclosures, cages shelves . Everything in the store must go. All animals are still regular price but supplies and cages are extremely discounted. They thank everyone for 3 great years of serving the Enid area. 119 S. Grand.

CIGAR BAR:

East Village Lounge: Cigar, Jazz and Blues Club is almost ready. The humidor is done and the contractors nearly are. They'll be opening in three phases.

Phase One: a traditional cigar retailer. They'll sell you a cigar. Enjoy it sitting in a comfortable club chair or take it home. Their goal is Friday, August 21st. Stay tuned to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and their website.

Phase Two: the Low Point Beer bar. More bar equipment arrives next week. After the plumber and city inspectors are done they'll sell you a 3.2 beverage or if you prefer a French press coffee. Their coffee will be roasted and supplied by Five80 Coffeehouse. Time frame about 3 weeks max, again stay tuned.

Phase Three: the full liquor bar. That is still a few months away.

ICE CREAM TRUCK COMING TO ENID:

Enid has a neighborhood ice cream truck again! Scoops Ice Cream Truck serves the community neighborhoods and make memories for people of all ages. Scoops Ice Cream truck is owned and operated by Enid native Courtney Barber and Aaron Barber, an Enid Police Dept Detective. They will offer 40 varieties of popsicles and ice cream novelties at affordable prices. Their truck is getting its final touches and they will be stocking the truck early next week.
