The sign has finally gone up on W. Garriott and they are putting on the final touches. Not only will they offer a great selection of steaks but will have a number of wines to choose from. The new eatery is located at 3710 W. Garriott. _____________________________ Da Vinci's Coffeehouse and Gelateria Opening 2nd Location - "We are excited to officially announce that DaVinci’s Coffeehouse & Gelateria will have a second location on South Van Buren, in what use to be the old Port Lugano Bistro!! They thanked all of the area school teachers and personnel for all that they do for our kids! _____________________________ ADM hosted a ribbon cutting on October 8 - ADM hosted a ribbon cutting on October 8 with the Governor, Mayor and others to celebrate the completion of upgrades to their mill. The modernization project involved a complete retro-fit of ADM’s existing mill in Enid, which was built in 1928. _____________________________ The Pastry Nook Bakery & Bistro Now Open - The Pastry Nook bakery & bistro opened in Oakwood Mall on September 4. 4125 W. "After much consideration, we have decided to close our Enid location. We would like to thank everyone who supported us during our time in Enid. Our last day will be Saturday, October 20th. Garriott. _____________________________ Candyopolis Closing - Candyopolis in Oakwood Mall is closing. Their last day will be November 12th. No further information at this time. _____________________________ Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Not Part of Bankruptcy Sears Holdings filed for bankruptcy protection early Monday after years of staying afloat through financial maneuvering and relying on billions of CEO Eddie Lampert’s own money. Lampert, who has served as CEO for the past five years, will step down from that post, effective immediately, but remain chairman. As part of the bankruptcy, Sears will shutter 142 stores toward the end of the year. It expects to begin liquidation sales shortly. - However, Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. is not a part of the bankruptcy filling by Sears Holdings Corporation and will remain open! Enid’s Sears Hometown store has released a statement regarding their status: - “Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc. is NOT part of the bankruptcy filing by Sears Holdings Corporation. Although we have business relationships with Sears Holdings, we are a publicly owned company that separated from Sears Holdings in 2012. We are a national retailer primarily focused on selling home appliances, lawn and garden equipment, tools and hardware. Our dealers are independent businesspeople who are actively involved in their businesses and their communities. It remains Business as usual at Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores. The soft opening is planned for Nov 1 and the store will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00-4:00.
