ENID, OK - A number of vehicles were burglarized overnight Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Various items were stolen during the burglaries, including handguns and credit cards. Some of those crimes were captured on area residential surveillance cameras. The burglars later used the stolen credit cards to make purchases at Walmart, 5505 W. Garriott, and again their images were captured by surveillance cameras.

On Thursday afternoon the Enid Police Department shared those images on social media and asked the public for help identifying the suspects. Officers immediately began receiving tips that led them to the Knights Inn, 2901 S. Van Buren. As they were arriving to investigate, they noticed several of the suspects driving away in a vehicle reported stolen from Arkansas. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop but a chase ensued. At one point during the pursuit the suspect vehicle collided with a vehicle it was attempting to pass. No one was injured. The suspects continued attempts to elude officers until they lost control and their vehicle left the roadway, colliding with a concrete foundation and several parked cars at a closed business in the 1600 block of S. Van Buren.

The driver, a 16-year old female, was transported to Integris Bass Hospital and later flown to an Oklahoma City metro hospital for leg injuries. For her actions, officer are filing complaints of eluding, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license, burglary, fraud, and knowingly concealing stolen property. The passenger, a 17-year old female, was also transported to Integris Bass Hospital for treatment. Officer are filing complaints of burglary and fraud for her actions.

Officers located and arrested several other suspects at a room in the Knights Inn. Two juvenile females, ages 15 and 17, were booked into the Community Intervention Center on complaints of burglary and knowingly concealing stolen property. Marge Langbata and Kristian Bithen, both age 19, were booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility on complaints of burglary and knowingly concealing stolen property. Bithen also had an arrest warrant from Arkansas.

Officers recovered stolen property from the vehicle and the motel room during their investigation. Some of that property was tied to the crimes reported in Enid, but others were linked to crimes in the northwestern Arkansas area. Officers are working with Arkansas law enforcement authorities to coordinate the identification and return of the stolen property.

Hi I’m I so shame for what this girls are doing right here..I’m from the Marshall Island and is new for me seeing this girls doing this.but to be honest I thank the Cop for arresting them to pay for what they have done..better put them in for 40 years….we Marshallese are shame for what you all done you guys what you all been asking for…
