Autry Employees Selected As 2019 NextGen Under 30 Award Winners

ENID, OK – Three Autry Technology Center employees were selected as winners of the 2019 NextGen Under 30 awards. Across 17 categories, 338 Oklahomans age 30 years of younger from 241 companies and organizations were recognized for their professional leadership and extensive service to their communities. Autry Tech Marketing Coordinator Andersen Hubbard, Creative Marketing Specialist Maria Lopez and Public Relations Coordinator Shelby Unruh were selected through a highly competitive application process.

This year’s class was honored at the annual awards ceremony held at the Embassy Suites & Conference Center in Norman on Friday, Nov. 15. The 2019 NextGen Under 30 Oklahoma Award Recognition is a statewide program honoring young professionals who are leading Oklahoma’s future and cultivating change in their communities. Throughout the year, the class will connect with next generation Oklahomans in rural and urban areas and will learn about leadership through workshops and retreats.

“The NextGen Under 30 Oklahoma program aims to support retention of young professionals in Oklahoma and recognize outstanding achievements among our state’s best and brightest,” ion Oklahoma Online Magazine Publisher Don Swift said. “Each honoree displayed exceptional leadership among their peers as well as contributions to their Oklahoma communities.”

The 17 categories include arts; education; high education; energy and transportation; finance; healthcare; hospitality; law; manufacturing/industry/the trades/agriculture; media/public relations/marketing/advertising; non-profit; policy and public service; retail and e-commerce; science/technology/engineering; and staffing.

Autry Technology Center has been a part of the Enid community since 1967 and is one of 29 CareerTech schools across Oklahoma. The center has more than 25 career programs and offers a wide variety of evening and weekend short-term courses and certifications for many diverse career fields. Autry serves nearly 16,000 individuals each year, including many area employees who receive training through the Business and Industry Services Department that works with over 500 local businesses each year.
