The services celebrating and honoring the life of Denise Muirhead, 69, of Enid, will be held 9:30 A.M. Friday July 10, 2026, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. The services will be live streamed on the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Facebook Page. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Denise was born November 9, 1956, to Travis Wayne and Lucille Linda Rowden in Hamilton, Ohio and passed from this life July 6, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Ohio until moving to the Enid State School at the age of fourteen where she finished her schooling at Cherokee School. In 1996 she transitioned into the community of Enid. She worked at Golden Corral in their maintenance department until the time of their closing and then worked at 4 R Kids and later Res-Care. She loved bouncy balls, collecting elephants and Sponge Bob, and enjoyed scrapbooking, coloring, eating, especially eggs, going on any outing and was always very happy.
She is survived by her sister Deb Clasen, of Wyoming, her roommate of over twenty-six years, Jeanne Berry, of the home, her guardian and special friend, Cheryl Williams, of Enid, her caretaker Kathryn Hall, and numerous other caretakers and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Travis Wayne and Lucielle Muirhead, her stepmother, Dorothy Muirhead, long-term friend and roommate, Julie Hassinger, and her boyfriend, Wayne Clark.
