November 10, 1967 – April 17, 2026
Dennis Leroy Morgan, 58, passed away on April 17, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Gene and Carolyn Morgan.
Dennis graduated from Enid High School in 1986 before proudly enlisting in the United States Army in February of 1989. He completed basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and served his country with dedication at Camp Garry Owen in South Korea and Fort Riley, Kansas. He received an honorable discharge in 1992.
Following his military service, Dennis continued his commitment to protecting others as a police officer in Garnett and Louisburg, Kansas, from December 1992 to December 2000.
Dennis went on to serve internationally in peacekeeping and training roles. From January 2001 to June 2003, he participated in United Nations peacekeeping missions in Kosovo, where he trained local police officers and led mountain bike police training programs. From February 2004 to February 2007, he worked in Amman, Jordan, supporting Iraqi police training programs, teaching fundamental policing and tactical exercises. From January 2008 to February 2012, Dennis served with the U.S. State Department and United Nations in Sudan and South Sudan, where he led a team of U.S. police advisors in training and establishing police forces in the newly independent nation of South Sudan.
In 2012, Dennis moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in anticipation of the birth of his daughter, Paige Marie Morgan, who became the center of his world. Dennis later settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked as Managing Director and License Holder for Wieser Security until the time of his passing.
Dennis had a deep love for sports, especially football, and was a devoted fan of the Nebraska Huskers and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed watching hockey and wrestling with his daughter, Paige, and could often be found cheering on his teams at a local pub wherever life took him. Dennis was not one to sit still—he thrived on staying busy, always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, or even strangers. He embraced challenges with determination and had a remarkable ability to quickly learn anything he set his mind to. He was known for his sense of humor, love of jokes, and passion for lively conversation.
Above all else, Dennis’s greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Paige. Being her father was the role he cherished most, and his love for her was unwavering and unmatched.
Dennis is survived by his beloved daughter, Paige Morgan; his brothers, Dale Morgan and his wife Tina of Fairmont, and Jeff Morgan of Tulsa; his sisters, Margaret Morgan of Ottawa, Kansas, and Teresa Moore and her husband Mike of Enid; and 8 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Carolyn Morgan; his brother, Leonard Morgan; and his sister, Deborah Watson.
