The central drop-off location for supplies is the Chisholm Trail Expo Center. Donations brought there will be organized and distributed as needs are identified in the impacted areas.

Highway 81 near Gray Ridge is closed due to downed power poles as of mid-day Friday.

City of Enid first responders are actively performing emergency response efforts following tonight’s tornado activity impacting the Grayridge and other areas. Personnel from the Enid Police Department and Enid Fire Department are on scene coordinating emergency response efforts.

Residents are strongly urged to stay away from the Gray Ridge area at this time. Keeping roadways clear is critical so emergency crews, utility teams, and heavy equipment can safely access affected locations as quickly as possible.

Please avoid unnecessary travel near Gray Ridge and use alternate routes until further notice. Additional updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

The City of Enid appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as crews work to ensure the safety of the community.

Team Vance,

As of 1030 this morning, power has been fully restored across Vance AFB. Restoration efforts are underway and the installation is now open to all base personnel.

The following facilities will be open to support at this time:

Bowling Center: Operational and serving food
CDC: Operational for mission essential childcare support
Fitness Center: Emergency Assistance Center remains open for personnel support/assistance
AAFES: will open at 1200L

This is message is for Eisenhower Elementary families, due to the closure of Vance Air Force Base there will be no school today, April 24, 2026. All other Enid Public Schools will be in session.
