The services celebrating and honoring the life of Cheryl Lynn (Kitchen) Bundy, 71, of Enid, will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 18, 2026, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Cheryl was born July 29, 1954, to Bill and Alice (Mcginnis) Kitchen in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life April 12, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma
She was raised and educated in Enid graduating with the last graduating class at Carrier High School in 1973. She married the love of her life Leslie Bundy April 25, 1973, right before he enlisted in the United States Navy and she went with him to serve his country. In 1975 she returned to Enid and moved in with his parents while she was pregnant with their first child. She worked as a CNA at Enid Memorial hospital before briefly working as a nanny and then began her 23-year career at Bass Hospital, she first worked in the X-Ray department and retired from the Radiology Registration department in 2015.
She loved spending time with her family, going on adventures to the lake, the zoo and Frontier city. She enjoyed family game nights playing Mexican Train Dominoes until all hours of the night and loved Christmas and elephants. She enjoyed watching her shows including murder mysteries and reality tv, laying out by the pool, and going fishing with her husband. She absolutely loved being a mother and grandmother “Nanny”, she always kept the house fully stocked with candy for her grandkids and attended all of their events.
She is survived by her children, son, Justin Bundy and daughter Amber Bundy; grandchildren, Trenton Welch, Adrienne Bundy, Madyson Cook, and Payton Bundy; two great-grandchildren, Arrianna Welch and Jameson Alan Robinson; her best friend of 47 years, Cynthia Zajack; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Leslie Bundy, her parents Bill and Alice Kitchen, two sisters Pam Thorp and Paula Anderson; and one brother, Mark Kitchen.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Enid SPCA, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and the Endangered Ark foundation Elephant Sanctuary, of Oklahoma with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
