With broken hearts but unending love, we remember Helen Jane King Morris, who passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on April 5, 1938, in Ringling, Oklahoma, and lived a life defined by devotion to her family, her faith, and her calling to care for others.
Helen married the love of her life, Gilbert Morris, on September 23, 1958, and together they built a life in Enid filled with family, resilience, and enduring love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Perry King and Cora King, as well as her infant son, Joseph Mark.

Helen is lovingly survived by her husband Gilbert Morris of 67 years, her children: Cynthia Rozell and her husband Earl; Melanie Boyko; Brian Morris and his wife Melissa; and Barry Morris and his wife Mindy. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Megan, Mary Beth, Robert, Connor, Braxton, Kerigan,
Dalton, Sasha, and Tatyana, and her bonus grandson, Derek Orr and his wife Rachel. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Knox, Johnny, Elaine, and Faye. She is also survived by her brothers, John King and his wife Terri, and Jimmy King.

Helen attended nursing school in Enid and graduated in 1959, beginning a remarkable 59-year career as a registered nurse. She served others with compassion, strength, and quiet grace, making her work not just a profession, but a true reflection of her generous spirit.
She had a deep love for books, amassing a collection in the thousands, and found great joy in reading. She also cherished the time she spent with her dear friends, Lynn Dopps and Nancy Simunek, sharing laughter, memories, and the comfort of growing older together.
Yet her greatest joy was her family. She made it a point to stay closely connected with her grandchildren, often sending daily messages filled with encouragement, humor, and love. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and made sure they always felt her presence in their lives.

Her faith was a steady foundation throughout her life, guiding her with strength and hope. At the beginning of her 88th year, she reflected these words, which capture the essence of her spirit: “My health may fail and my spirit may grow weak, but my God remains the strength of my heart.
He is mine forever.” forever. ” Helen will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering faith, her love of learning, and the
deep, abiding love she gave so freely to her family. Her legacy lives on in all who knew and loved her.

She is deeply missed, and her memory will remain with us all the days of our lives.
