The Funeral service for Susan Rene Severin, a 65-year-old Goltry resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at St. Gregory's (1924 W. Willow Enid, OK 73703). Deacon Kevin Winter will officiate the service. The burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Goltry, under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Susan was born on June 7,1960 to Lewis and Eva (Helton) Chase, in Camp Pendelton, Oceanside, California. She attended local California schools earning her associates as an LPN. Susan worked at many local nursing homes in and around Enid.
On April 24,1999, she married Richard Severin in Okeene, Oklahoma and settled their home in Goltry, Oklahoma. Susan finally retired in 2018. She became a lifetime member at St. Michael's Church in Goltry until their closing and then joined St. Gregory's Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed participating in their bingo nights. She loved her dogs, traveling, taking cruises, and hanging out with her girlfriends at least once a month, as well as riding around with her motorcycle club.
Susan is survived by her brother John Chase and wife Zenda of Choctaw, Oklahoma, several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, brother-in-law Frank Severin and wife Cheryl, Steve Severin, and many more extended family and friends.
She is proceeded by her parents Lewis and Eva Chase, her husband Richard Severin, and her brothers Lewis and David Chase
