Erma B. Brown, 99, of Enid, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1926, in Carmen, Oklahoma to Leroy A. Curry and Beulah L. (McLane) Curry. Arrangements made by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Erma spent much of her professional life as a touch up artist, colorizer, and school poster artist for Marquis Studios in the 1950’s, and as a secretary at Enid 2-way, where she worked from 1959-1972. Beyond her career, she was widely known for her exceptional talent as a China Painter. Her exquisite works were admired by many and are proudly displayed in the World China Painting Museum- a lasting tribute to her artistic skill and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bobby Fern Curry, brother Max L. Curry, and beloved husband Otis D. Brown, and son Jerry L. Brown.
Erma is survived by her daughter Janice F. Burns (&Dennis), son Ronald P. Brown [&Jane (Paris)], and daughter-in-law Cindy (Bradley) Brown. She leaves behind a loving legacy of 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom will carry forward her memory with love and pride.
A memorial service will be held at Anderson-Burris Circle of Life Event Center on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived, full of creativity, love, and devotion to family.
