A Memorial Service for Gloria Burns, age 77, of Kremlin, will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Gloria was born to John and Jennie (Voga) Kitz on December 27, 1939, in Chicago, and passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, in Enid.
Gloria grew up in Chicago and then Naylor, Missouri, where she graduated High School. On December 27, 1958, Gloria married Louie Burns, and they made their home in Naylor. She worked for several years at Naylor School as office manager and bookkeeper. In 1981, they moved to Oklahoma. Gloria was a clerk and postmaster for the United States Postal Service at Kremlin.
She is survived by husband, Louie of the home; her daughter Jennie Meyer of Kremlin, sons, Gary Burns and wife Belinda, of Thibeudeax, Louisiana, Ronald Burns and wife Cathie of Enid, and John Burns and wife Lisa of Sarasota, Florida; ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leonard, daughter-in-law Mary Burns, and son-in-law Mark Meyer.
