ENID, Okla. - Pickleball was created with one thing in mind: fun. It was designed to be easy to learn and play whether you’re five, eighty-five or somewhere in between. It's a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net using a paddle and a plastic ball.

The Denny Price Family YMCA held their 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament in June 2015. Young and old, male and female, all competed in the doubles version of the sport. There was a small but very enthusiastic crowd their to watch family and friends compete for Pickleball glory.
-
Age is not a big factor in learning to play Pickleball and the tournament had no age categories. There were various ages represented in the tournament, the oldest being 74 and the youngest being in his teens.
