-Enid Joint Recreation Triad
Tennis — Lessons for players ages 6-17 will begin June 6 at Ninth Street Courts.
 Bruce Hess, a state-ranked player and local high school players will be conducting the lessons which will be two one-hour sessions per week.
Players have the option of lessons either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday or both.
 Cost is $25 for two lessons a week and $40 for four lessons a week.  
Hess said the teachers can work around vacation schedules.
Lesson times are 8:30-9:30 a.m., 9:30-10:30, and 10:30-11:30.

Enid Joint Recreation Triad
Bowling — Oakwood Bowl will offer programs for youth at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays in June, July and August.

Dates have been set for the Enid city junior golf championship.
The annual tournament will be held Aug. 10 at Oakwood Country Club and Aug. 11 at Meadowlake Golf Course.
Players can sign up at either Oakwood or Meadowlake.
Age groups include 9-11 boys and girls, nine holes; 12-13 boys and girls, nine holes; 14-15 girls, nine holes; 14-15 boys, 18 holes; and 16-17 boys and girls, 18 holes.

and is charged with the responsibility of keeping the program operational with the children’s best interest in mind. The program does not serve the egos of parents, coaches, or other adults. The Youth Activity Center provides supervised before and after-school
care and a summer camp program for school-age children (who have 
completed kindergarten through the end of the sixth grade). The school-age
program is open after school hours, during school holidays and summer 
vacation for day camp. Vance Youth Programs offer developmentally appropriate activities, field trips, as well as nutritional meals and snacks. The Youth 
Center also offers a teen council that meets and chooses activities for the 
base’s teens. Teen activities include field trips, lock-ins, dances and other 
age-appropriate events. Drop-in care is $3.75 per child, per hour. Call

Modern Woodmen sponsors Tiny Tots youth club in Enid Modern Woodmen of America has a Tiny Tots youth service club in Enid. Modern Woodmen already has clubs established for older youths. Jennifer Waide, Waukomis, will lead the club, and Joseph W. Duarte, Enid, a local Modern Woodmen representative, will sponsor the monthly activities.“Since 1942 Modern Woodmen youth service clubs have focused on volunteering, patriotism, education and fun.
