Gold Tournament

Team Registrations and Sponsorships Now Available

Enid, OK – Leadership Greater Enid will host their 5th Annual Golf Tournament at Oakwood Country Club on Friday, March 25th. Class XXXI is seeking teams and sponsors to benefit YWCA Enid.

Funds raised will allow the YWCA to continue improving the safety and security of their facility, which serves adult and child victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. These improvements include the construction of two new doors/vestibules to create additional barriers to entry into the YWCA’s secure area.

As the most dangerous time in an abusive relationship is when the victim attempts to leave and regain control of his/her life, it is essential that safe havens like the YWCA are as secure as possible. For over 100 years, YWCA Enid has provided emergency shelter, sexual assault forensic exams, counseling, advocacy, and hope to those in need in our community.

“We are thrilled and grateful to be selected as the beneficiary of this year’s Leadership Greater Enid Golf Tournament,” said Courtney Strzinek, YWCA Executive Director. “These vestibule additions will offer survivors the most secure environment possible to begin healing from trauma. The efforts of Class XXXI will positively impact countless individuals and families, leaving a lasting legacy on our agency and community.”

Class XXXI has set a fundraising goal of $42,000 for the YWCA’s Safety & Security Improvements. “The last two years have been challenging for everyone, but perhaps no more so than for the victims of domestic violence. The mission of the YWCA profoundly moved the Class of XXXI and we could not think of a more deserving organization to support,” said Allison Miles, LGE Class XXXI Project Committee Chair. “We are confident the people of Enid will rise to the Oklahoma Standard and help us support the YWCA in their mission to protect and serve vulnerable members of our community.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available through March 18 th , ranging from $50 to $5,000. Teams of four and individuals can reserve their spot in the tournament by visiting lgexxxigt.square.site.

LGE Class XXXI’s Golf Tournament also includes hole games, a delicious meal, an after-party with live music, and a silent auction filled with an array of items from local businesses. To contribute to the silent auction, contact Allison Miles at leadershipgreaterenid@gmail.com.
