Daniel Mark Fitzgivens, 62, of Norman, OK passed away due to a heart attack on July 13th, 2017.

He was born to the late Kenneth and Esther Fitzgivens on January 3, 1955 in Shelby, OH. He is preceded in death by his brother, Craig Fitzgivens. He is survived by his wife Janice Fitzgivens, daughter Ja’Mae and her husband Matthew Rhoades, grandson Rhys Rhoades, and his sisters Debbie Whitehurst and Cathy Erwin.

He was employed for many years as a head custodian at the University of Oklahoma, and in his later years worked as a bus driver for Norman Public Schools.

Dan enjoyed gardening, movies, and spending time with his wife and family. Dan and Janice were married on February 15th, 1986. They had a strong bond and one was rarely seen without the other. Dan had a good heart and a great sense of humor. He will greatly be missed but his memory will live on through his loved ones.
