Making a Difference, Inc. began in 2008 in order to grow an annual event called Feed the Neighborhood. In 2012, Justin Simmons and Kelli Osburn took the 501(c)3 and started a counseling center. Since then Making a Difference, Inc. has grown, helping families in the community through the various services. Feed the Neighborhood has helped over 35,000 people from the Garfield county area and over 12,000 kids by providing groceries, backpacks, school supplies, and more. The counseling center has grown over the years and has served over 142 families in the Enid area. Making a Difference, Inc. also has started a resource cabinet where children and families can get their basic needs met, a mentorship program, and an after school group program.
