Timothy "Moose" McCoy 70, of Enid, OK, passed away peacefully at home with family on November 12th, 2025.
He was born on November 23rd, 1954, in Enid, OK to Curtis and Jane McCoy.
Tim graduated from Enid High School in 1973. He played football at Northwestern College in Alva, OK. Tim went on to work multiple jobs over the years including Fed Ex, Koch Fertilizer Company, Vance Air Force Base, Advance Foods warehouse manager, and Albright Steel before retiring in November of 2024. Tim also was a 5A/ 6A football referee for 20 years and volunteered at local golf courses as a golf marshal where he was well-liked by the golfing community.
He married Mary Congdon on August 14th, 1980, and together they raised two sons Curtis and Lucas.
An avid bass fisherman, hunter, and golfer, he also enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with his wife Mary and casino trips with family. He was known for his witty sense of humor and captivating grin.
He is survived by his wife Mary McCoy, sons Curtis McCoy, Lucas McCoy and daughter-in-law Jaree McCoy, grandsons Camden and Baylor McCoy. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Jane McCoy, brother David McCoy and sister Jean Ann Huitt.
A celebration of life will be held at Oakwood Christian Church on November 22nd, 2025, at 10 am. A family visitation will be held at Anderson Burris Funeral Home Friday, November 21st from 6-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Enid SPCA.
