Sandra Lynn Taylor

OI816443494_SandraTaylorpictureSandra Lynn Taylor, resident of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Alliance Health Ponca City following a short battle with cancer. She was 66. Sandra was born May 19, 1949 to Carl Tankersley and Juanita Ledbetter Tankersley in Santa Paula, CA. She began her formal education in Auburn, CA. In second grade, Sandra scored higher than any other second grader had ever scored on the Annual Iowa State test. She graduated from high school in 1965. She achieved a Paralegal degree in Sacramento, CA and later earned her Real Estate license in Las Vegas, NV.

Sandra had two sons, Phillip J. Vizgaudis and Steven C. Vizgaudis. She remarried in 1981 to Paul Taylor and that union lasted until Paul’s death in 1997. Sandra married Michael Sexauer in March of 1999. Sandra was passionate about Arts and Crafts and promoted Craft shows throughout the Northwest for many years. Sandra came to Ponca City to begin employment with Conoco in 1998. Following her retirement, in 2008, she actively pursued her passion for Arts and Crafts by learning and excelling in the art of quilt making. She was very active in Ponca City’s community quilt guilds.

Survivors include her husband, Michael, of the home, son Phillip J. Vizgaudis and his fiancé, Lisa J. Broadway and their daughter Trinity C. Broadway of Washington, grandchildren, Vincent J. Vizgaudis and his fiancé, Samantha Kirtley and their daughter Linden of California, Valerie Gomez and husband Art and their daughter Sandra of California, Samson Vizgaudis and wife Whitney of Colorado, Zachary and wife Klorissa and their son Jayden of Washington, Christopher Bovaird-Baker and wife Risa of Colorado, Paris Vizgaudis of West Virginia, and two sisters, Brenda Johnson and husband John of Oregon, and Jeannie Meeks of Ponca City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Steven Vizgaudis, and her husband Paul Taylor.
