Ruby Lou Schoeling

150x188-Schoeling, RubyThe funeral service for Ruby Lou Schoeling, age 89, of Covington, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 7, 2015, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington, with Pastor Christopher Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Covington Cemetery, with arrangements by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ruby Lou was born to William Edward and Sallye Lenore (Potter) Heydman on October 12, 1926, in Marshall, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully on December 3, 2015.
She grew up in Marshall, where she was a very competitive athlete in many sports, and graduated from Marshall High School in 1944. Out of High School, she went to work with her sisters, Frances, Mona Lee and sister in-law, Aline, where they took the Doodlebug train to Enid to work as Telephone Operators for Southwestern Bell. She met and married Alfred Kaiser in 1946 and they had two sons, Max and Mike. Ruby took great pride in being a homemaker and being involved in their lives. Alfred preceded her in death in 1975.
Ruby married Keith Schoeling, the love of her life, in 1978, when her oldest twin granddaughters, Stacie and Traci, were 4 months old, and then they were blessed with three more granddaughters, Bonnie, Cari and Calli. They invested much time and were involved in most of their activities. She was known for worrying constantly, but all knew it was because she loved each of her family members. They were members of a bowling league for many years, had lots of card parties, and enjoyed traveling. She was very active and involved with farming for both of her husbands and sons. She drove a wheat truck for harvest and could be found sitting watching her sons for hours in the wheat field or cooking for them. Ruby was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and had been an Inspector for Garfield County Election Board for 40 years, just receiving her certificate in 2015. She will be greatly missed by her family, sisters in-law, that she talked to everyday on the phone and her friends.

Ruby is survived by her husband Keith Schoeling; sons, Max Kaiser and wife Katie, Mike Kaiser and wife Terry; granddaughters, Stacie Kaiser, Traci Kaiser, Bonnie Kaiser-Gambill and husband Kevin, Cari Kaiser McCartney and husband Justin, and Calli Kaiser; brother, Blayne Heydman; and Keith’s children, Brenda Stanley and husband Farrell, and Lelon Schoeling; sisters in-law, Dorothy Murphy and Mary Wyssman; brothers in-law, Richard, Larry, and Glenn Schoeling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, LaVerne and Irvan Heydman, sisters, Frances Whittman and Mona Lee Taliaferro, and husband Alfred.

Memorials may be made to the Covington Senior Citizens. Condolences may be made online at www.ladusauevans.com
