150x229-Hafner, Roger DoyleA Celebration of Life for Roger D. Hafner, age 84 years, of Garber, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, February 29, 2016 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Lesly Broadbent will officiate with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Roger passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Enid.

Roger was born during a snow storm on March 9, 1931 in Winkler, Kansas, then came to Hunter, Oklahoma when he was five years old with his parents, Albert and Mabel Hafner. Roger attended Daniels School and graduated from Hunter High School. He attended Cameron College at Lawton, Oklahoma while he served in the U.S. Army at Camp Chaffee and Fort Sill.

On August 12, 1951, he was united in marriage to Velva Jean Neundorf, from Garber, Oklahoma. After Roger returned from military service he and Velva Jean returned to Garber, where he was engaged in agriculture, racing quarter horses and real estate. He was President of Garfield Downs, also associated with Century 21 Mark V Real Estate in Edmond, Okla., and United Country Real Estate, in Blackwell, Okla.

Roger was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church and several other organizations.

He is survived by his wife Velva Jean of the home, three daughters, Renee Mourer and husband Larry, of Carrier; Robin Henricks and husband Tim, of Ohio; Randus Harman and husband Chris, of Mulhall, OK; nine grandchildren, Bay and Pepper Mourer of Springfield, MO; Gant and Melissa Mourer, of Stillwater; Jenna and Dee Jay Johns, of Braman; Mark and Kelly Mourer of Ft. Worth; Ty and Jordan Harman of Mulhall; Mikka Harman of Oklahoma City; Nichole and Sy Tucker of Michigan; Chauncey Henricks of Ohio; Jordan and Zach Long of Ohio; ten great-grandchildren, Kamden Mourer, Javen Mourer, Colton Mourer, Emma Mourer, Reese Mourer, Haley Mourer, Kasen Johns, Caleb Long, Owen Long and Obie Tucker.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Mabel, and one sister, Velma Lee Bonnett.

Memorial contributions may be made to Willow View United Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
