Ray Roger Unruh

Ray-Unruh-1462285724Funeral service for Ray Unruh, age 70, of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Grace Mennonite Church with Pastor Richard Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Carrier. Military honors will be by the U.S. Navy. Visitation with family and friends will be Friday evening 6:30 to 8:00 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Ray was born to Albert Alfred and Mabel Mary (Koehn) Unruh, on July 19, 1945, in Long Beach, California, and passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016, in Enid.

Ray grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. On October 5, 1967, Ray married his high school sweetheart, Arlene Maloney and they made their home in Enid. He worked as a parts salesman for Bert Smith Road Machinery, and later for Southwest Truck Parts. Ray was an active member of Grace Mennonite Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arlin Unruh, and brother in law Laverne Miller.

Ray is survived by his wife Arlene; 3 children Roger Unruh (Tania) of Helena, Amber Wilson (Jimmy) of Enid, and Arissa Eilert (Chris) of Hesston, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister Rosalie Miller of Lahoma.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Grace Mennonite Church.
