Manuel John Ramos, age 67, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on September 27, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, outdoorsman, and beloved football coach whose impact reached far beyond the field.
Born on May 30, 1958, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Juan and Agnes Ramos, Manuel lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and community. He spent many years running and working in the auction business, where he found joy in the fast pace, the people, and the sense of purpose it gave him. The auction was more than a job—it was a place where he built relationships, shared stories, and showed up with the same dedication he brought to everything in life.
Manuel married Tammy, the love of his life, and together they built a home filled with laughter, resilience, and unconditional love. Their bond was the foundation of a close-knit family that meant everything to him.
He was a proud father to Juan, Sissy, and Cassey, and later adopted Heather. His children were the center of his world, and he poured his heart into raising them with strength, humor, and unwavering support. When Juan was just eight years old, Manuel began coaching youth football—a role he held for over 20 years. His players adored him, not just for his knowledge of the game, but for the life lessons he shared and the steady presence he offered. Even after his coaching years, Manuel continued to serve the football community by selflessly running the concession stand at EJRT football games for many more seasons, always showing up with a smile for the players and parents.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Ramos; his mother, Agnes Ramos; his brother robert and wife kristy, their children bailey and monica. His nephew cory. his children Juan, Sissy, Cassey, and Heather; and his grandchildren Xavier, Landon, Jase, Haylee, Selena, Blayze, Kentley, Gracey, and Lillian. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Ramos.
Manuel will be remembered for his deep love of hunting and fishing, his unmatched work ethic, and the legacy he leaves behind in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, and the countless young athletes he mentored. His laugh, his stories, and his generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
