Lucille Dorothy Rogers

July 22, 1923 - April 8, 2026

Funeral services for Lucille Rogers will be Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm in New Hope Methodist Church with Rev Hagen Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6 to 7 at the funeral home.

Lucille was born on July 22, 1923 in Waukomis to Peter and Lula (Taylor) Rose and passed away April 8, 2026 at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Waukomis area and attended Pioneer School until her senior year when she graduated from Garber High School. She worked at Bond Bakery, then Vance Air Force Base where she was an aircraft mechanic. It was there that she met her husband, Roland. Later she worked for and retired from Sears after 26 years. She was an active member of the Methodist church, lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary since 1946 and member of the Moose Lodge. Lucille later married Hank Deeds. She enjoyed dancing, playing card games, and going to the casinos. On Lucille’s 100th Birthday, she became a member of the Oklahoma Centennial Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Lula Rose, her sisters, Frances McKee, Irene Oliver and June Murphy, husbands, Roland Rogers and Hank Deeds, grandson Casey Gibson, son-in-law Dennis Gibson and daughter-in-law Rita Rogers. She is survived by her brother, Gerald Rose, son Merle Rogers, daughter Lanette Gibson, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Larry Smith, grandchildren, Brian and wife Sara Smith, Robin and husband Jimmie Edie, Peter and wife Kim Rogers, Leah and husband Clayton (Tony) Au, Bradley and wife Morgan Smith, Mike Deeds, as well as 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
