Joe Eloy Montoya

Celebration of life services for Joe Eloy Montoya, 75, Blackwell resident, will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ, Blackwell, with Pastor Lanny Jobe officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Joe was born on January 19, 1942 in Powell, Wyoming, the son of Alex and Lucy Lucero Montoya, and passed away on March 3, 2017 at his residence as a result of the residence fire. He was raised in Billings, Montana. Joe served his country in the United States Army and stationed in Washington. He married Yolanda Sue Rettberg in 1979 while living in Billings, Montana. They moved to Crescent, Oklahoma from 1981 until 1991 when they moved to Blackwell. Joe worked for Tonkawa Casino as a security advisor. Survivors include his wife, Yolanda of Blackwell; daughters, Deserie, Margaret, Destiny, Amber; sons, Derek, Aaron, Brandon, and Cody; grandchildren, Shelby, Hunter, Kaylee, Brayden, Madden, and Beckham; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Josie.
