Graveside memorial service for James “Jim” Frantz, age 82, of Enid, will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas, at the Veterans Patio, with Ernie Currier officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory, Enid, Oklahoma.
James was born July 2, 1934, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Howard and Jessie (Gillespie) Frantz, and passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in Enid.
James attended and graduated from Coffeyville High School. On September 13, 1953, he married Mildred Marie Stephens, and they made their home in Coffeyville. James was a baker and worked for Junges Bakery in Coffeyville, Kansas, and retired from Flowers Baking Company in Tyler, Texas. Jim moved to Enid in 2007, where he attended Cowboy Church.
James is survived by his daughters Debbie Currier and Ernie of Enid, and Cindy Stricker and Jerry of Elkhart, Kansas; 3 grandchildren Jayme Stricker, Katey Walls, and Chris Currier; 3 brothers Larry Frantz, Doug Donham, and Rick Frantz; and 2 sisters Jeanne Greene and Les, and Mary Ellen Rutledge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mildred.
