Hilda Mae was born May 2, 1924 on a farm north of Breckinridge, and rejoined her Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017.

Hilda Mae graduated from Enid High School and then attended Enid Business College. During World War II, she worked at H.A. Mars Grocery in Enid. Hilda married Roger Lee Hays, her husband of 64 years, upon his return from the war. They lived in Enid for a short time before moving to their Centennial farm west of Breckinridge. She continued a very active life on the farm until the time of her passing. She was a life long devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was guided through life’s journey by her relationship with her Savior.

Her greatest joy was being engaged in the lives of her family. She rarely missed an important event in her children’s, grandchildren’s, or great-grandchildren’s lives. Some of her fondest times were spent relaxing and enjoying family time at her lake house surrounded by those closest to her.

Her husband, Roger Lee Hays has been waiting for her in heaven for the last six years. She is loved and will be missed here on Earth by her two daughters, Beverly Dodson and Vicki Sparkes, both of Edmond. Vicki’s husband, Galen, who was endeared as a son; grandchildren, Braydon and Kerri Dodson, Justin and Elisa Sparkes, Brandon and Lindsay Sparkes; great-grandchildren, Kinley and Harper Dodson, Victoria and Galen Sparkes, Bailey and Brody Sparkes.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Guestbook available online at www.andersonburris.com .
