NOC Planetarium Show
May 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Northern Oklahoma College Enid will present the May planetarium show Thursday, May 2, at 7 p.m.
Fritz Osell will present the night sky over Enid during May showing prominent constellations and planets in the evening sky. Osell will also show known stars with planets.
“Thousands of planetary systems have been found in our neighborhood of the Galaxy,” Osell said. “Discovery of new planetary systems is largely a result of the combination of advanced telescopes like the James Webb space telescope with the rapid advancement of computer technology.”
Visitors will fly over Mars, Pluto, and Saturn’s moon Enceladus – a moon with a crust of ice and an ocean under the crust.
The full dome planetarium show will begin with a story for children, “The Little Star That Could.” The story follows a star who is looking for planets. The feature show will take our visitors from our Earth to the edges of the universe
There is no charge but donations of non-perishable food items for Our Daily Bread and for Loves and Fishes are accepted.
