The funeral service for David R. Davidson, Jr. will be 1:00pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gail Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.
David was born February 8, 1935 in Dallas, TX to David and Adeline (Hoyle) Davidson and passed away March 14, 2016 in Enid. He served his county during the Korean Conflict through the United States Army. David worked in the oil fields of Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana all his life, retiring in 2010.
His hobbies included woodworking and drawing. In his spare time, he wrote comic strips. He was a member of the Ringwood Masonic Lodge #554.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Judith Ann Martindale, David is survived by son, Rory Davidson and wife, Carolyn of Hennessey; daughter, Kim Stotts and husband, Rodney of Ames; four grandchildren, Travis and Nick Davidson of Edmond; Heath Stotts of Enid; Alicia Stotts of Bethany and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
