The funeral for Aliene "Ruth" Shough, 90 year-old Enid resident is 10:00AM Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Bickerstaff will officiate. Private family burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma.
Ruth was born May 8, 1935 in Neosho, Missouri to William and Mary (Bailey) Bass and passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family. She attended schools in Rocky, Oklahoma got married and raised her family. In 1968 she moved to Enid where she worked at a waitress and also as a health care provider at the Sunnyside Nursing Home.
Ruth loved to fish and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Kathy Snowden, Regina Powell, Mary Jordan and husband John , Mark Jones and wife Betty, all of Enid, and Jill Carlock of Amarillo, Texas.
15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Walker of Houston, TX. and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandson Brentyn, four brothers and one sister.
