Rule Gene Webster

The graveside service for Rule Gene Webster, 83-year-old former Enid resident will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. At 10:00 a.m. in the Enid Cemetery. Rev. Devon Krause will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. A visitation with family will be held on Monday evening from 5PM-7PM in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel.

Rule was born on September 29,1942 in Enid, to Eugene Forest Webster and Bernie Berry Webster. He grew up in the Enid area until 1955, when his family moved to Covington. He graduated from Covington High School in 1960 and went on to attend Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. After one and a half years at Okmulgee, he returned to the Enid area and began working for Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola Bottling Companies. During this time, he married his high-school sweetheart, Sharon Simpson in 1963.

He worked for Bond Bread Bakeries until their closing in 1974. Later, he worked for Champlain Refinery until their closing in 1984. Working various jobs in the Enid area, he was hired by Great Lakes Carbon in 1988 and worked there until his retirement in 2006.

He was an avid bowler, for years at the local bowling alley. He always kept busy attending the many functions and sporting events of his 10 grandchildren. He was also a Huge Whippet fan!

He is survived by his son Kelly Webster and wife Brenda Wong of Enid, daughters Shelly Krause and husband Jim of Okeene, and Cary Cross and husband Jonathon also of Ringwood, 10 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Bernie, wife Sharon, his brother Jerry, and grandson Elijah.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Okeene Athletic Department.
