ENID, OK (June 15, 2026) – Derrick G. Silas, Sr., Director of Communications
Recovery efforts from the April 23 tornado continue to move forward as the remaining storm-damaged foundations and homes in the Gray Ridge neighborhood are being demolished, helping affected properties prepare for rebuilding.
The demolition work is being performed by Marsau Enterprises, Inc. and funded through a generous contribution from Koch Fertilizer, providing direct assistance to homeowners as they continue the recovery process.
“This effort represents another important step in helping families move from recovery to rebuilding,” said City Manager Jerald Gilbert. “We are grateful for the partnerships and support that continue to make a meaningful difference for residents impacted by the tornado. Removing these damaged structures helps homeowners take the next step toward rebuilding and recovery.”
Since the tornado struck Enid on April 23, residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and community partners have worked together to support those affected by the storm. The Gray Ridge demolition project removes remaining damaged structures, creates safer conditions, and helps pave the way for reconstruction efforts.
The City of Enid extends its appreciation to Koch Fertilizer for funding the project and to Marsau Enterprises for providing demolition services that will assist homeowners as they move forward with recovery and rebuilding.
To date, more than 5,300 tons of storm debris have been removed and transported to the landfill through combined efforts of the City, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA), and Garfield County District 1.
