Joann Baldwin was born on December 31st 1950 in Taloga,OK to Bill and Ella Rhodes. She grew up in Seiling, OK where she attended grade school. She moved to Enid in 1963 where she attended Emerson Junior High until 9th grade. She met the love of her life James Baldwin and got married September of 1966. She worked as a carhop for Vance drive in and worked in Oklahoma laundry. They had their first child, Bryan Baldwin, in August of 1968. Then in 1972 they had their second child, Bridget Baldwin in Bethany, Ok. They both were her pride and joy.
They moved back to Enid in 1974 where she enjoyed numerous hobbies such as selling Avon and painting ceramics. She was a top 10 salesman for Avon for two years running and was president club for three years with Avon. She won first and second place in the county fairs for her ceramics she painted.
She worked for Advance Foods for 37 years. She was the longest term employee and still is as far as she knew. After Advance Foods, she went to work for Enid public school as a cafeteria helper. She worked in Waller and Longfellow junior high.
Her family was her whole life. She loved them all so very much. Her grandkids was her world and then came the great grandkids and that was even more of her world. She didn't get to spend as much time with them as she wanted but she loved them all the same.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Elder of Enid; daughter, Bridget Baldwin of Enid; daughter-in law, Michelle Baldwin; 2 Grand daughters; Cheyenne Littlejohn and Autumn Beebe of Enid; 2 grandsons; Jay Hopkins and Vince Hopkins of Enid; 9 great grandchildren; Charlotte, Delilah, and Emersyn Baldwin of Enid; Aubrey, Avery, Allie, Arya, and Andi Beebe of Enid; Deain Hopkins of Enid. 7 nieces and nephews; Allen Elder of Enid; James Cravens of Enid; Shelly Mead of Enid; Tammy Christmas of Enid; Kristine McMahan of Yukon; Misty Best of Waukomis; Teresa of Enid. Numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Baldwin; son, Bryan Baldwin; 3 sisters Carolyn, Mary, and Lola and brother Harvey. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 20, 2026 in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Willie Vincent officiating, Graveside services will be held at 2:30 in the Hope Cemetery near Seiling under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
