October 2, 1967 - January 12, 2026
A funeral service for Shelly Magallanez, 58, of Enid, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Enid First Assembly of God followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Jarrod Cloud officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Shelly was born on October 2, 1967, to Janet Gayle (Bell) and Joel Hurley and passed away on January 12, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family. She married Andrew Magallanez on June 12, 1987, in Yuma, Arizona. Together, they raised three children, Kaissie, Nicholas, and Dillon.
Early in their marriage, Shelly and Andrew shared a love for cooking and fun adventures together. They even entered cooking contests in Holtville, California, during the town’s annual Carrot and Onion Festival – a memory that reflected Shelly’s creativity, confidence, and joy for life.
Shelly also had a remarkable green thumb. She loved plants and flowers and could almost name any bloom just by looking at it. Whether she was tending to her garden, filling her home with greenery, or using fresh florals in her creations, she found peace and beauty in watching things grow.
Shelly had a true gift for crafting, especially creating wreaths, which became her passion. In 2018, she founded Simply Fab Creations and later The Market Craft Shows at the Stride Bank Center. What began as a business grew into a family. Many of her vendors became lifelong friends because Shelly was so much more than a market coordinator – she was a mother, daughter, sister, friend, confidant, and helper to all who knew her.
Christmas was Shelly’s favorite time of the year. Her home looked like something straight out of a Hallmark Movie, inside and out, and brought joy to everyone who visited.
She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Magallanez; mother Gayle Stephens; children Kaissie and Dustin White, grandson, Bradley Adams, Nicholas and Kenedy Magallanez, grandson, Walker Cole, and the blessing of a granddaughter soon to be, and Dillon Magallanez; her sisters, Kristie and husband Greg Jensen, Tracy and husband Brandon Estelle, and Sheryl and husband Johnnie Glaskill.
Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Joel Hurley; grandmother Betty Bell; and uncles Randy and Rodney Bell.
There will be no viewing per her request, but anyone who cannot attend her service is welcome to come by the funeral home to pay their respects on the 15th to sign the guest book.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants that are low-maintenance greenery, such as succulents, ferns, and houseplants. Donations can be made to the GoFundMe https://gofund.me/0e9856126 to help with the cost of funeral expenses and a headstone.
