Mark married his high school sweetheart, Kathi Walker, and together they welcomed two children, April Miles and Josh Miles. Though their marriage later ended, they remained friends and devoted parents. In January of 1989, Mark married Sherry Reece, and through that union he gained another daughter, Jennifer Day, and later welcomed a son, Caleb Miles.
Mark had a lifelong love for music and was known for his talent as a guitarist. He played in several bands over the years and also shared his gift through music in church. His love for music was matched only by his love for people. Mark never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome, often through his humor and easygoing spirit.
By trade, Mark was a skilled carpenter and gifted cabinet builder. He took great pride in his work, and his craftsmanship can be seen in the many homes and projects he helped create.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Verta and Eddie Miles, and his uncle, Nolan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; daughter April (Miles) and son-in-law Kent Kimberlain; son Josh and daughter-in-law Robin Miles; daughter Jennifer (Day) and son-in-law Wayne Silcott; and son Caleb and daughter-in-law Jasmine Miles. He is also survived by his sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Greg Renegar as well as another sibling. He was a proud grandfather to Breanna, Gracie, Raylee, Leora, Ariel, and Colton, and a cherished great-grandfather to Carter Kemple. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
