2014 Enid Travel Guide Now Available

2014 Enid Travel Guides share Enid’s story with potential visitors

guideThe official 2014 Enid Travel Guide is now available at the Enid Welcome Center, 201 W Garriott,
 and at several businesses throughout Enid.

Published by Visit Enid, the 44-page Enid Travel Guide is Enid’s official visitor information brochure written specifically with the visitor in mind. It is filled with all things Enid such as attractions, a detailed restaurant guide, hotels, family fun ideas, a map, a list of Enid’s annual events and much more. Over 100,000 Enid Travel Guides have been distributed throughout Oklahoma and nationwide since January, 2012. Visit Enid provides these free guides to anyone requesting information about Enid through VisitEnid.org, at local and regional hotels and businesses, through TravelOK.com - Oklahoma’s tourism website, and at the 10 Oklahoma Tourism Information Centers statewide.

The cover has been redesigned to represent Enid’s boundless, vibrant and original qualities. The cover photo includes the new Enid Event Center, the H Holden sculpture “Ranger” which stands proud in front of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid campus, and musicians performing in downtown Enid on a warm summer evening.

The Visit Enid staff and volunteers will be distributing the Enid Travel Guide this week. Contact the Enid Welcome Center at (580) 233-3643, ext. 1 if you would like to use this guide in any aspect of your business or if you would like to offer the guides to your customers.

Visit Enid also offers many free publications from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, including;

  • The Oklahoma Travel Guide, a glossy magazine filled cover to cover with helpful tips, stunning photography, contact information and travel ideas covering the entire state.
  • The Destination Dining Guide, where the Discover Oklahoma team showcases over 135 of Oklahoma’s best locally-owned restaurants.
  • The State Parks and Outdoor Recreation Guide, with information about state parks, RV campgrounds, trails, horseback riding, fishing spots and other outdoor activities.
  • The Oklahoma Indian Country Guide, featuring profiles of all 39 tribes of Oklahoma, American Indian attractions and a complete listing of state Tribal casinos.
  • The Oklahoma Route 66 Guide, with Oklahoma attractions featured all along the most famous road in the United States.
  • 2014 Oklahoma official state road maps.
