Lavoy Sullivan

Funeral service for Lavoy Sullivan, 101, of Nash, will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Nash, with Rev. Bob Smith and Rev. Sam Farris officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery, Nash, with military honors by Stephen County Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Lavoy was born October 17, 1915, in Coleman, Oklahoma, to Frank and Frances (Breshears) Sullivan, and passed away on February 24, 2017 in Enid.

Lavoy grew up in Nash, and attended school at Banner and Enid Public Schools, and served in the United States Army Air Force. He married Frankie Steward in Wellington, Kansas on November 17, 1945, and they made their home in Nash. Lavoy was a member of First Baptist Church Nash, served as a deacon at the church, was a member of the Nash School Board, and the Nash Senior Citizens.

Lavoy is survived by his children Pat Bain (Eddie) of Wayne, Dennis Sullivan (Nelda) Nash, Jan Streich (Steve) of Tulsa, and Barbara White (Dale) of Hulbert; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 sisters in law Anna Sullivan of Enid, Betty Jean Steward of Prescott, Arizonia, and Ilda Steward of Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frankie, sister Alice Shipley, brothers Clarence, JC, and Donald Sullivan, grandson Andrew Streich, and granddaughter Tricia Story.
