Jewell R. "Mac" McKinzie, Jr.

April 14, 1936 - August 17, 2023

Graveside services with military honors for Jewell R. “Mac” McKinzie, Jr., are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Shane McKinzie officiating. Visitation with the family is Monday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mac was born April 14, 1936 in Comanche, TX to Jewell and Mary Louise (Laymon) McKinzie and passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023.

He attended Oakwood Christian Church and was a member of Seekers Sunday School Class and was a past Master Mason of Lodge 80 Enid, Okla. Mac was a veteran of the USAF serving two tours of Vietnam and stationed at several base assignments in the Lower 48 and Alaska as well as abroad. Mac served our country with unselfish pride throughout his long career and was highly decorated. He married Kathryn Pipes on January 30, 1959 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell R. McKinzie, Sr. and Mary Louise McKinzie, also younger brother, Danny McKinzie and younger sister, June Sims.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn, his children, Dennis McKinzie and wife Robbin of Enid, OK, daughter Beth Miller and husband Chad of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Grandchildren: Colby McKinzie and wife Ida of Enid, OK, Shane McKinzie and Shayla of Webb City, Missouri, Beau McKinzie and wife Anjamine of Manila, Philippines, Chelsea Roberts and husband Troy of St. Petersburg, Florida, Tanner Miller of Kansas City, Missouri and five great grandchildren.
