Enid Gem and Mineral Society’s Rock Swap
The Breezeway 214 W. Randolph, Enid, OK, United StatesEnid Gem and Mineral Society’s Annual Rock Swap is a wonderful way to spend a nice outdoor day with other rock hounds. You can buy, sell or trade. It’s a great way to add to your stash or buy items you’ve been searching for. Come shop and swap for a large variety of lapidary items including gemstones, minerals, fossils, rough, slabs, cabs, beads, jewelry and more. For the kids, there’s a Spin & Win game and a “Touch & Feel” table.
NOC Planetarium Show
Mackie Planetarium Michael Hedges Blvd., Enid, OK, United StatesThe June planetarium show at the Mackie Planetarium on the NOC Enid campus will be offered on Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. Planetarium Director Fritz Osell will show the night sky over Enid during summer and point out where constellations, planets and other interesting objects may be found in the evening sky. Osell will show where Mars can be seen in the early evening sky near the constellation Leo. Also, Osell will show visitors the night sky from Enid and point out stars having known planetary systems. Enid Hamfest
Chisholm Trail Expo Center 111 W Purdue Ave, Enid, OK, United StatesEnid Amateur Radio Club presents Enid Hamfest, on Saturday, September 20 from 8 am-3 pm at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center. Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It’s fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need. Learn more about the world of ham radio, and perhaps even apply to become a licensed amateur radio operator. Admission is $10 at the door.

Writing Workshop
