NATIONAL VIETNAM WAR VETERANS DAY
The Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park, Inc. will join the nation in recognizing Vietnam War Veterans and their families on March 29 at 10 am for National Vietnam War Commemoration Day. This day has been set aside in perpetuity for our Nation to thank and honor all Vietnam Veterans as designated by the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017. In honor of the commemoration, The Wall of Honor will be hosting several events on March 29 including a free pancake breakfast at 8:30 am for veterans.
Vietnam Veterans served their country with valor and honor, yet never received a proper “Welcome Home” or “Thank you for your service”. Since the establishment of the National Vietnam War Commemoration in 2012, nearly 4 million Vietnam Era Veterans who served between November 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, and their families, have never been publicly thanked and honored. The WWoH was recently recognized for their efforts in being in the top 15 in the nation for honoring its Vietnam Veterans.
